I am most captivated when you wrote that extracurricular activities provide an opportunity for your kid to interact with others and potentially create friendships beyond their usual circle. That made me realize that allowing my son to be part of elementary school science assemblies is a smart choice. I should give him more support since he's so into the science program, and I want him to develop social skills.
